Our daughter, Evelyn, was diagnosed at three and a half with Rett Syndrome, and she most recently celebrated her 10th birthday. Through Evelyn's Voice, we not only hope to use Evelyn's story to change people's lives, but to bring people together to live their best lives possible in spite of it all.
Meet Evelyn
This is Evelyn. You can find her most days smiling and laughing, watching movies, eating pasta, giving endless kisses, taking in all that’s around her, and enjoying the beach with her brothers. She is the most fun, kind, loving, and selfless girl you could ever meet.
The most beautiful of things…
The best life we could possibly give. That is what we hope to give Evie, and our whole family. Living a life different than what is perceived as typical, sure has its challenges, but really what is normal anyway? Living a life full of beauty and wonder, curiosity, resilience, breathing through the hard moments and celebrating the victories, whether big or small. That is the life we try to forge with each choice, action and intention.
Opening our arms to love those around us, to the ones who may be navigating very similar journeys or very different ones, we want you to know all are welcome here. We are living a life so drastically different than what we imagined, but by welcoming the astonishing beauty it brings, and the tremendous heartache, we find a freedom to just live life well. To not only survive, but to thrive.
